The Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) has been talking about missing and murdered Indigenous peoples this week.

The organization has been hosting a conference in Prince Albert entitled Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples Wellness and Awareness Week.

City ponders pushing snow onto sidewalks

The city of Prince Albert is pondering plowing snow onto neighborhood sidewalks.

There is a limited amount of space left to store the unusually large amount of the white stuff that has already accumulated in the city, and we’re barely halfway through winter.

It’s a local punch-line that was getting a little tired - ‘things are moving as slowly as Prince Albert’s locomotive 5080!.’

Mind you, the old steam engine that stands neglected on the Prince Albert Exhibition grounds is probably looking beyond tired.

P.A. marks Family Literacy Day

Sunday marks Family Literacy Day across Canada but readers in Prince Albert, had a one day jump start.  

On Saturday, the local literacy network set up a number of booths at their location in the Gateway Mall.
