Helping Families Improve Their Future

Oct 20, 2010 | 3:38 PM

Family Futures meets a clearly identified, prioritized need in Prince Albert.  It is an established organization with proven effectiveness and established connections with the local population of vulnerable families and with other community organizations in Prince Albert.

If you are a pregnant woman you may be eligible for our services.

We will work with you to build a better future for you, your children, your family and our community.

Strengths of the Family Futures Program

  1. The vulnerability of many children in Prince Albert is well documented in the Understanding the Early Years research results.  The number of vulnerable families in Prince Albert is increasing with rural to urban migration and population growth in the Aboriginal population.  Aboriginal families are particularly vulnerable due to this transience that erodes family and community capacity to provide nurturing environments for children.
  2. Evaluation results for Family Futures indicate our program has positive outcomes for participants related to program goals, that it is an important support in their lives, and that they are highly satisfied with services. Participants indicate that they benefit from one-on-one support as well as group support and that they value the advocacy that we provide in connecting them with other services.
  3. We have established a broad base of community support and work diligently to partner and network with other community and government agencies on behalf of our participants.
  4. Statistical information based on many program elements is available from 1994 to date
