Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club Makes a Splash at GoldFins Invitational Swim Meet

Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club dove headfirst into the new season at the GoldFins Invitational Swim Meet, held from October 27 to October 29.

With 13 talented swimmers from the club participating, this event marked the exciting commencement of the competitive season.

The swimmers demonstrated their prowess with an array of remarkable achievements that left spectators and fellow competitors impressed.

This invitational swim meet featured four age group categories: 12 & Under and 13 & Over Girls,13 & Under and 14 & Over Boys.

In these categories, the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club athletes excelled, showcasing their dedication and training.

Here are some of the standout highlights from this thrilling event:

Myla. M: Myla’s performance was nothing short of outstanding. She secured third place in the 200m butterfly and made it to the finals in the 50m and 100m butterfly, as well as the 50m, 200m, and 400m freestyle events.

Clara. G: Clara’s achievements were equally remarkable, earning an “AA” Short Course times in the 50m and 100m backstroke events. She competed fiercely in all of her events.

Zoe. C: Zoe displayed exceptional skill, achieving an “AA” Short Course time in the 50m backstroke. She also secured fifth place in the 100m butterfly and sixth place in the 200m butterfly, while setting new personal records in all her events.

Sophia. W: Sophia showcased her talent with an impressive tally of 7 “A” times. She secured fifth place in the 100m breaststroke and eighth place in the 100m freestyle. Like her peers, she achieved personal bests in all her events.

Anastazia. S: Anastasia achieved an “AA” time in the 50m backstroke for the 13-year-old category. She also secured 7 “A” times and posted personal bests in all her events.

Ethan. E: Ethan’s performance included an 8th place finish in the 100m breaststroke, alongside personal bests in all of his events and a noteworthy 3 “A” times.

Mikaela. A: Mikaela’s hard work paid off as she qualified for the final in the 100m breaststroke. Like her fellow swimmers, she achieved personal bests in all her events.

Jackson. M: Jackson’s accomplishments were equally impressive, as he qualified for the final in the 50m backstroke and achieved three “A” times.

Brooklyn. D: Brooklyn set personal bests in both the 100m freestyle and 50m breaststroke events, showcasing her dedication to improvement.

Della. A: Della’s hard work paid off as she achieved personal bests in all her events, further demonstrating the commitment of the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club athletes to personal growth.

Maia. L: Maia made her mark by achieving an “AA” time in the 50m freestyle for 11-year-old girls, alongside 3 “A” times and personal bests in five events.

Avery. M: Avery demonstrated her commitment to progress by achieving personal bests in all her events.

Sophie. M: Sophie impressed with personal bests in all her events, showcasing her determination and dedication.

The GoldFins Invitational Swim Meet marked a fantastic start to the racing season for the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club. Under the guidance of Head Coach Hazem Hussein, the club offers a diverse range of training programs to cater to swimmers of all potential and abilities.

From swimming classes to high-performance training, including programs for para swimmers and master swimmers, the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club continues to provide opportunities for all.

Registration remains open year-round, welcoming new members to join this community of dedicated and passionate swimmers.

As the new season unfolds, the future is brimming with promise for the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club, and these accomplishments at the GoldFins Invitational Swim Meet are just the beginning of what’s to come.
