Nova Scotia lights up scoreboard in final pool play day of Canadian curling jrs
After Day 4 of the 2019 New Holland Canadian Junior Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships in Prince Albert, nobody has scored more points in a single-game Nova Scotia’s Kaitlyn Jones.
Jones and her defending world championship winning team from Nova Scotia of Lauren Lenentine, Karlee Burgess and Lindsey Burgess beat the Nunavut 20-3 on Tuesday night at the Art Hauser Centre. That’s the most points scored in a game so far, in both the women’s and men’s sides.
It was a big win for Nova Scotia, as they were coming off of two recent losses, falling 10-4 to Alberta on Wednesday afternoon, and 8-7 to British Columbia on Tuesday afternoon. They finish up their group stage play with a 4-2 record, good for third place in Pool A behind 6-0 Alberta and 5-1 British Columbia teams.
