Police seek suspect in jewelry robbery

Prince Albert police officers are looking for the person behind an armed robbery at a downtown jeweller.

It happened at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Bocian Jewellers on Central Avenue.

According to police the suspect was viewing rings when he produced a knife, snatched several of the rings, placed them into a black garbage bag and fled the store.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspect go east down 13th Street East, then headed south halfway down the block between Central and First Avenue East.

The suspect is described as an aboriginal man in his 20's. He is five-feet-10 inches tall with a medium-to-large build. He was wearing jeans, a black hat, a grey hoody with a white logo on the back and white and black shoes.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Division are still investigating and are asking anyone with information to call the Prince Albert Police Service at 953-4222.
