Saskatoon man stabbed 3 times after answering door

A man was stabbed three times after he answered his door on Wednesday night in Saskatoon.

It happened at about 10:30 p.m.

Saskatoon police say the 37-year-old man was stabbed by three men who forced their way into his home north of 22nd Street.

Sgt. Ted Sperling says the public should always be cautious.

“If you don't know the person who is ringing or knocking at your door, don't answer it,” he said.

Sperling said the 37-year-old man told police he did not know the suspects.

The man's injuries are non-life threatening. He was taken to the Royal University Hospital overnight for observation.

No arrests have been made.
