Shoes…casual, practical, functional or just plain glamorous, Frontrunner Footwear has something for the entire family right down to the wickedest of shoe addicts.

Locally owned and run allows for something the big box stores do not have…Knowing your clientele.

Owner Debbi Kellett said she tries to keep a little bit of everything at her store. Need a new pair of shoes for a night out on the town or a comfortable pair of shoes for a long shift at work, chances are they have what you need.

“We have something for the entire family we have a bit of children’s footwear we have some men’s footwear and then, of course, we are predominately ladies’ footwear,” said Kellett.

Frontrunner carries a variety of brands including: Skechers, Cat, Taos, Naot, Teva, Aravon, Cobb Hill, Dunham, Born, Timberland, Rockport and Bates. Some recently added brands that are new to the store this year include: Taxi, Josef Seibel, Romika, Olukai, Vangelo, Flip Flop, Cloud Footwear and Miz Mooz.

“We have something to wear to a wedding, a flat shoe to wear to work everyday, or flip flops to go to the beach.”

Frontrunner Footwear has been providing residents from Prince Albert and area with their shoe needs since August 2005. Kellett explained that in the beginning Frontrunner Footwear offered mostly men’s work boots but then quickly developed into a family shoe store.

“It didn’t take long for us to realize that men are not the big shoppers in the city… and women, probably buy 80 per cent more shoes than men,” she said. “Men basically own a pair of work boots or one pair of shoes that they wear every time they dress up but women usually have a shoe for most outfits.”

“So being a shoe lover myself it was just kind of natural, started buying more women’s stuff and it just went from there,” she added.

To further serve their clients, ladies’ outerwear has been added to the inventory. Fashionable wraps, coats and sweaters to pair with that coveted new pair of boots or shoes. Or, from their also newly added line of giftware find that perfect gift for someone special or yourself.

Frontrunner Footwear staff work hard everyday to make sure every customer is happy when they leave the store. Kellett said her and her staff take pride in their customer service.

“We try everyday to make sure every customer that walks through that door feels appreciated, we know that they have choices and they can go anywhere,” she said.

“We try to remember every time the door opens that, that person is doing us a favour by coming here,” she added.

Orthopaedic friendly footwear is also available at Frontrunner Footwear. Kellett said her and her staff are prepared to help customers with finding the right shoe that will fit their orthotics.

The staff at Frontrunner Footwear can also help visitors match a new pair shoes to any outfit, maybe you are updating your wardrobe or preparing for a special event, whatever the reason the staff at Frontrunner Footwear are always happy to help find the perfect pair of shoes for any occasion.

Special sales that take place at Frontrunner Footwear include a tent sale that happens usually in the middle of August and in January Kellett said they hold their annual blow out sale.
