P.A. trudges through coldest part of winter

Jan 16, 2019 | 11:00 AM

With overnight lows dipping into below 30 Celsius over the next couple of days, we’ve officially entered the dead of winter.

According to Environment Canada Meteorologist Chris Stammers, this time of year is generally the coldest.

“Our overnight lows typically bottom out in January and February. (That’s when) it’s coldest, then they will start warming up again,” he said.

Stammers had some encouraging news. He said as early as this weekend we may see a break.
